Hacker Sells Access to Government Networks in UK and Australia
A dark web user using the pseudonym frankknox has put up access to the UK and Australian government and commercial networks for sale on a clandestine marketplace, Shadow Intelligence said.
Access to servers are on sale:
British city municipality with more than 300 thousand inhabitants;
British corporation with more than 2.5 thousand employees;
British private company;
26 servers of Australian government, educational and commercial organizations.
The cost of each lot is $ 2,000.
It remains unknown how the seller gained access to these servers. However, we recall that over the past two years, the British government has lost more than three hundred electronic devices. Even though the devices are encrypted, hackers can find new ways to infiltrate systems to gain access to confidential files that can be very dangerous in the wrong hands.
