Belarusian platform for distance learning is promised to be built by the end of the year
This statement was made by the Minister of Education Igor Karpenko on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA informs.
“We are starting the school year in the usual format. At the same time, we are actively preparing for the options that may arise during the development of a particular situation. We have been criticized for the lack of a unified educational platform for distance learning. This is not a panacea; it will not replace the classroom system in secondary school and vocational education. But at the same time we are doing this work. By the end of this year, a unified remote platform will be developed. By the way, the topic is very interesting not only for students, but also for young teachers, "said Karpenko.
Initially, the platform will be launched in test mode. It should be fully operational from September 1, 2021/2022 academic year.
The Minister of Education added that, together with the Ministry of Health, guidelines have been developed for organizing the educational process in the context of the coronavirus. If there are any difficulties in connection with the rise of seasonal viral infections, then the ministries will respond point-wise in each specific case. Teachers, everyone working with children, and the children themselves will be recommended to get vaccinated, Igor Karpenko stressed.
